The treadmill is our most popular piece of exercise equipment, both for sale and within our hire fleet. Treadmills provide a genuine and effective way to tone-up and lose weight, concentrating on all the major muscle groups. When not in use, our treadmills can be folded up neatly freeing up valuable floor space for other uses.
All our hire treadmills are top quality domestic units, from Tunturi, Bremshey, Trimmaster and the like. They are packed with user friendly features and programmes, but are attractive and easy to use. Most are not practical to install upstairs, but please ask for details. All treadmills require an electricty supply.

All our treadmills fold for easy storage, have generous sized running surfaces, motored incline, training programmes and heart rate monitors. Our customers will benefit from the soft feel of the cushioned running surfaces on all our machines.

Treadmill Servicing
Treadmills purchased from HomeGym are subject to a one or two year warranty. Outside this initial warranty period a service contract can be purchased from HomeGym. A repair service is also available on all makes and models of machines whether purchased from HomeGym or not. Please contact us for a quote.
Treadmill exercise tips
Walking and running are the most natural forms of exercise, and with a treadmill you can do both in the comfort of your home. They're ideal if you have a family, since people of all ages can use them. Your fitness goals can include general fitness, weight loss, or building up stamina.
General fitness
A few half-hour sessions on a treadmill will improve your aerobic fitness - the basic conditioning that lets you walk or run without getting out of breath. Better aerobic fitness means more energy and enthusiasm for everyday life.
Weight loss
Treadmills offer an effective way to burn calories without stressing your body. You can set the 'pace' of the treadmill to a slow walk or fast run - and simulate hills to make it harder. A long, gentle jog or fast walk is an excellent method for losing weight, especially if you do it regularly.

HR 4500A Treadmill
The HR4500A is a great value, entry level machine, it has a higher specification and build quality than any other treadmill in this price range. The motor is a 2hp low noise unit with a top speed of 22 km/h (13mph). It has fifteen pre-set programmes and auto incline from 0-20%. The running surface measures 450 x 2825mm and its deck folds for storage when not in use.
The computer is blue LCD and displays speed, time, calories, distance, incline and heart rate. It has an mp3 input and two speakers. Maximum user weight is 120kg. Machine size (LWH) is 1830 x 800 x 1320 mm.

HR 5000A Treadmill Details
The HR5000A is a larger and heavier duty version of its 4500A sibling. It has a 2.5hp motor with a top speed of 22km/h and is fantastic value for money. The running surface is 500 x 2835 and folds for storage. It has fifteen pre-set programmes and auto incline from 1-20%.
